Children
Children are an important part of our church family. At Annunciation, we want every child to know that they are known, loved, and welcomed by God—and by us.
Through Sunday School, Children’s Chapel, Vacation Bible School, and other opportunities throughout the year, children are invited to learn about God, ask questions, build friendships, serve others, and grow in faith. Whether your family has been part of Annunciation for years or you’re walking through our doors for the very first time, there’s a place for your child here.
CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL
Children’s Sunday School meets Sundays at 9:45 AM during the school year. Through age-appropriate Bible stories, lessons, activities, and conversation, children discover more about God’s love and what it means to follow Jesus.
CHILDREN’S CHAPEL
Children’s Chapel gives our younger worshipers an opportunity to experience Scripture, prayer, and worship in a way created especially for them. During the school year, children ages 4–7 are invited to Children’s Chapel during our Sunday worship services. Children leave the sanctuary together with their leaders and return to their families later in the service.
ANGEL BUDDY BAGS
We know little hands sometimes need something to do during worship! Angel Buddy Bags are available in the Narthex for children ages 5–7 and include quiet activities they can enjoy while remaining with their families during the service. Families are welcome to pick up a bag before worship begins and return them after.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Vacation Bible School is one of our favorite summer traditions! Children spend the week discovering more about Jesus through Bible stories, music, games, activities, food, friendship, and plenty of fun. VBS is typically held from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM during the summer. Dates and registration information will be posted here as our next VBS approaches.
MONTESSORI EPISCOPAL SCHOOL
Montessori Episcopal School (MES) is a ministry of the Episcopal Church of the Annunciation. Founded in 1969, MES offers classes for children ages 9 months through Kindergarten. As a leader in both Christian and Montessori education, MES nurtures students to excel in academics, independence, creativity, service to others, critical thinking, leadership, Christian values and a love of learning.
